In this series, we will be sharing activities that help you get outside, learn about our environment, and work with your friends and family to create something awesome. If you haven’t already, read the previous James River Explorers posts and enjoy!

Although it may not seem like it, winter is an excellent time to observe wildlife. There are many different species that continue to be active in winter, and evergreen and coniferous trees help to provide resources for many creatures throughout the cold months.

A fun way to observe all of the fascinating winter wildlife in your backyard or your favorite park is with a game of winter wildlife bingo! Gather all of your friends and either create your own bingo scorecard, or use the one below, to explore outside this winter!
